The end of the architectural road was fairly well established in the Architectural Design special issue 2000+ (February 1967). But there were some interim possibilities, pitched between the period style split-level house and the electrode-charged isolated brain.
Brunnhilde’s Magic Ring of Fire is one of these.
The hovercraft principle in reverse. Tubes blow air at varying pressures to maintain the body in a prone position or to raise it through sitting to the vertical. The tubes can pivot to maintain the body in a static position or to rock it; they can also eject gases for a static or moving enclosure.
